Ellie from Love Island is in the trenches.

She’s been messed around by many men in the villa. She’s shouted. She’s cried many tears.

But things have seriously come to a head in recent days, as Finley has been actively getting to know new girl Elicia, while acting as if he’s not all that interested.

Even though he clearly is.

Elicia stole Finley during the most recent recoupling, leaving Ellie single and furious.

Finely, however, remained adamant that he wasn’t that into Elicia, despite flirting furiously with her and kissing her on their date.

Sure, man. Whatever you say.

The whole thing has been deeply uncomfortable to watch, as it proves that Finley is simply another man who doesn’t recognise how good he has it.

Or does recognise it but just doesn’t care. Cool cool cool. No worries.

Anyway, Ellie is fairly certain that she wants to walk if Finley doesn’t cop on.

While chatting to Adien, he suggested the pair of them couple up if Priya and Finley end up kissing their new couples.

Ellie responded by saying, “or just f*ck off home.” After Finley’s date with Elicia she also said: “He can do what he wants… I am done,” and called him a “f*cking sh*tebag.”

Fair.

And while it would be a shame to see a character like Ellie leave the Love Island villa, you couldn’t blame her either, could you?

Her situation is completely indicative of the modern dating scene. Meet someone. Form a connection. Let your guard down and become emotionally and physically intimate. They see something new and shiny and leave.

Let’s just hope it doesn’t come to that.
