Ouch! An Early Version Of Shout Out To My Ex Had One Seriously Shady Lyric Aimed At Gigi Hadid
And you thought “I hope she ain't fakin' it like I did” was bad.
When Little Mix performed their latest hit Shout Out To My Ex for the first time on The X Factor last month, there was no doubt who some of the sassy lyrics were aimed at.
As many fans had suspected ahead of its release, the song threw major shade in the direction of Perrie Edwards’ ex Zayn Malik and his new girlfriend Gigi Hadid.
But if you thought those lyrics were bad, well, wait until you hear the originals.

According to news.com.au, an early version of the song included the line “heard he been f***ing some model chick, yeah that sh*t hurt I’ll admit, but f*ck that boy I’m over it.”
Ouch. Yeah, there’s no denying that about Gigi, is there?
Talking about why the lyrics were changed, Perrie explained “We had to make it clean. We didn’t want to have the parental advisory sticker on our albums and singles. Even though our fans are our age, 20 or over 18, we still have a lot of young fans. But it does feel good to swear, doesn’t it?”
Given the sh*tstorm that likely would have ensued , we reckon it’s just as well those shady lyrics were toned down a bit.
Still, tamer lyrics or not, something tells us Shoutout To My Ex doesn’t get much airtime over at Zayn and Gigi’s gaff.
