‘I’m Still Having Therapy’ – Amy Hart’s Ongoing Heartbreak Following Curtis Pritchard Split

Breakups are never something we want to replay in our minds and so, we can only imagine how difficult it is when your breakup is recorded and cemented into TV history for its explosive qualities.

Anyone who is a fan of Love Island will remember 2019’s fifth series when Amy Hart fired out the words “and I was going to tell you that I loved you”, as Curtis Pritchard revealed that his feelings for her were no longer the same.

It was a tough pill to swallow and one that made all of us look at the TV through squinted eyes, fearful of the rejection that was about to knock her down.

It was tough because we’ve all been there. We’ve all worn that t-shirt. But nine months after her half-boyfriend (and first serious fling) dumped her on TV, Amy Hart reveals that she is still going through therapy to deal with the heartbreak.

Speaking to The Sun, Amy commented on Curtis’ recent split from girlfriend and fellow Islander Maura Higgins.

“Break ups are hard for everyone and look, I genuinely hope they’re both alright.

“I’ve been out of Love Island for nine months and it has been hard. I’m still having therapy.”

During her time in the villa, Amy’s family had to post a public statement for kindness after the 27-year-old received a serious amount of threats and mean comments on her social media accounts.

Amy also spoke about how people believed she was being overly dramatic and scripted in the villa however, she denied any scripting and revealed it was all her.

“People thought what I said on Love Island when I left was scripted but it wasn’t, that was me being me. And I know now that I have been true to myself and I am still being true to myself.”

The former air hostess also said she never reads comments online anymore and wanted to remind her followers that at the end of the day she’s just an “ordinary girl from Worthing whose dreams are coming true”.
