Here’s a list of ten Irish clothing brands that can help you not only spruce up your style this spring, but also shop sustainably and support local!
Aoife Cawley Art
Aoife Cawley is an Irish artist who focuses on printmaking and portraying her art through textiles. Aoife produces clothing pieces such as chunky patterned scarves, statement t-shirts, tote bags and pin accessories as well as many stickers and prints of her artwork.
Aoife’s style includes vibrant colours and tells a story of Irish “folklore, mythology, history, and early Christian saints”. Her work brings together traditional art techniques with a modern 21st century twist. Aoife Cawley Art is a hidden gem full of claddaghs, shamrocks, Guinness and St. Brigid’s crosses mixed with striking colours and beautiful history.

Ditsy Bits
Founded in 2022 by Emilie Williams, Ditsy Bits is a sustainable Irish brand who are all about embracing Irish culture and portray that in their unique pieces. The brand drops collections with limited pieces in aims to remain part of the slow fashion community and to promote sustainable shopping.
Ditsy Bits clothing includes cute, graphic baby tees, tank tops and tote bags. Designs they create include prints of Irish pubs as well as Guinness, Irish sayings and symbols and have also recently collaborated with Kopparberg. All items are made in their Dublin based printing studio and can be found online.

DeBúrca Design
DeBúrca Design was founded in 2020 by Limerick based designer and illustrator Orlaith DeBúrca. Orlaith’s goal with her brand was to produce high quality clothing that promoted the use of the Irish language. All of DeBúrca’s pieces include graphic Irish words and sayings with beautifully contrasted colours.
The brand has many different pieces such as hoodies, crew necks, t-shirts, tote bags, and accessories. In 2024 they collaborated with Orchard Thieves Wild and with Just Eat for Seachtain na Gaeilge. The brand have also raised over €5000 with their “tees for Palestine” where 100% of their profit goes to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees. DeBúrca Design is a beautiful brand with an even more beautiful meaning, is breá linn é!

Laoise Carey Studio
Laoise Carey Studio is all about sustainability! The Irish brand was established in 2020 and is primarily focused on recycling old, eco-friendly fabrics and transforming these once vintage pieces into “luxurious heirloom clothing”. Laoise takes inspiration from Tipperary countryside and Irish mythology.
The brand contains a range of pieces such as linen and patchwork blouses, quilted car coats, long scarves and Irish tea towel shirts. Due to Laoise’s use of antique textiles each piece is incredibly rare and unique.

Seeking Judy and Solstice

Seeking Judy is an Irish clothing brand founded by Megan McGuigan. Seeking Judy is a “ready to wear” brand that includes vibrant colours, knitwear and a general theme of nature running through each piece. The brand has a wide range to choose from including t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, tracksuits, knitwear, bags and accessories.
Seeking Judy can be found online or in store in George’s Street Arcade. Megan also founded Solstice, a luxury knitwear brand which launched last year. Each piece in solstice are once off and are inspired by Irish landscape, mythology and folktales.

Emporium
Emporium is a Dublin based streetwear brand established in 2018 by two young friends Robbie Fidgeon Kavanagh and Charlie Proctor-Quigley. The pair began their business journey by doing pop-ups around Dublin City until they built a large enough community to set up a permanent store on Drury Street in March 2024.
The brand has multiple collections and aims to produce high quality, staple clothing to promote sustainable shopping. Their most recent winter collection includes statement t-shirts, mohair knit jumpers and comfy sweats all of which have their trademark logo.

DNA Designs
DNA Designs is a mother daughter knitting duo! Deirdre and Aisling Phelan, based in Lacken, Wicklow, both co-founded DNA in December of 2023. The pair wanted to share their love for keeping tradition alive through knitting.
Some of their unique handmade pieces include knit jumpers, halter tops, tank tops, scarves and sleeves. DNA Designs are currently working on their spring/summer 2025 collection so keep an eye out!

Pellador
Pellador is a Limerick based clothing brand that was founded by Greg Hall in 2022. Pellador aims to combine beautifully designed pieces with Irish sporting history.
The brand has a wide range of pieces such as jerseys, beanies, graphic t-shirts, jeans, caps and, most famously, cable knit jumpers. Pellador incorporates traditional Celtic symbols with a modern twist of “contemporary football & fashion design” which makes each piece incredibly unique.

Kittenish Knits
Kittenish Knits is an independent Irish clothing brand founded by Emma Daly. The brand is incredibly versatile and includes items such as bikinis, mittens, hats, jumpers, tops, skirts and more.
Kittenish Knits collaborated with the previous brand, Pellador, in March of 2024 which featured cable knit balaclavas and mittens. Emma’s designs are completely unique as she hand knits each one! Bogha Bags is an Irish owned brand founded by Ciara Masterson in 2024. The brands main goal is to sustainably produce beautiful bags and accessories made from vintage and deadstock fabric.
Ciara has two styles of bags including pouch bags and slouch bags, each can be worn in different ways making them extremely versatile. Bogha Bags collection also includes patterned fabric scrunchies. The brand has many different patterns and textiles to choose from and is the perfect way to shop sustainably this spring!
