I can’t tell you if it feels like a minute ago or a lifetime ago we closed up shop and began working from home. In what all feels like a surreal blur, 2020 has definitely opened our eyes to the freedom we so usually take for granted among a list of other things. But now, as we prepare for a change once again – this time for more positive reasons, we’re getting ready to return to the working world, resume many things we’ve put on pause and venture back into the office.
Although we’re dying to get out of loungewear, trying to think of what to wear can be a bit of a nightmare, so we’ve made things easy by putting together a 10 piece edit of stylish bits that are both as versatile as they are trendy.
Blazer
From teaming them with blouses and skirts to slip dresses and jeans, blazers work over everything and they’re particularly good for making an outfit feel more comfortable and look smart.
H&M – €39.99 – shop here
Mules
Not only are these groovy Julia now, they’re legit perfect for adding a bit of height without the pain and a glamorous touch without, you guessed it – the pain. Office heels need to be binned.
Topshop – €72 – shop here
Slip dress
Slip dresses are perfect for this time of year when the weather changes more than our moods. Layer a cute polo underneath or an oversized sweater over and simply remove layers as you get warmer.
& Other Stories – €79 – shop here
Headband
Many a day has a glam headband saved me from a greasy-looking root and an untamed mane. Adding a cute pop to any outfit, hairbands also help to lift looks and there’s literally one to go with every outfit ever.
Revolve – €89 – shop here
Oversized blouse
Oversized everything is having a moment and we’re really there for it. Blouses in particular are what we’re loving. From wearing buttoned up as a dress, to open over a cropped top and jeans, with tights and over the knee boots, they’re so versatile and we adore.
COS – €34.50 – shop here
Tote bag
Laptop check, charger check, magazine check, lunch check – although we’re all about the tiny bags, they’re not really practical when it comes to work or carrying actually anything for that matter. That’s why we’re all for the tote bag. Handy and kinda necessary tbh.
Urban Outfitters – €25 – shop here
Laptop case
And keeping with the essentials check, it’s time to wrap up that laptop too. Yes, it has been a while since we’ve ventured outside of the house with it, but let’s not forget how to take care of them properly.
Skinny Dip – €29 – shop here
Sunglasses
Also key for travelling and commuting about again, sunglasses are a handbag essential. And investing in a good pair is something we’d defo recommend. However, if you’re looking for a pair that are at a medium price range and well reviewed, try these sunnies from Quay Australia.
Quay Australia – €59 – shop here
Knit Jumper
Although you might not be rushing to throw this on right now, a knit jumper is key for any workdrobe. And will again, literally go with anything if the fit is nice and the colour is neutral.
Verge Girl – €57.95 – shop here
Happy shopping!
