Well, good news for all you Neighbours guys and gals, the show is returning to our screens very soon.

Neighbours officially announced over Instagram that they’ve started the production on the reboot of the show just nine months after its original cancellation by Channel 5.

A petition was set up within a week of the announcement and amassed a total of over 50,000 signatures from viewers that didn’t want to see the tv show leave the air.

The show which originally aired in 1985, had its final episode air on Channel 5 in Summer 2022.

They brought back a number of beloved characters, who all found fame as actors thanks to the soap – these included the likes of Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan, Natalie Imbruglia and Margot Robbie.

Just four months after Channel 5 took the show off air, Amazon announced it would be picking up the show and begin production shortly with them also signing on a number of old cast members
