Australian TV Soap Neighbours Is Being Rebooted!
If you were a fan of soap operas, well, chances are you watched one of two Australian soaps – Neighbours or Home and Away.
Well, good news for all you Neighbours guys and gals, the show is returning to our screens very soon.
Neighbours officially announced over Instagram that they’ve started the production on the reboot of the show just nine months after its original cancellation by Channel 5.
The Australian TV channel announced at the beginning of 2022 that the show was going to be dropped, an announcement that shocked and disappointed a lot of fans.

A petition was set up within a week of the announcement and amassed a total of over 50,000 signatures from viewers that didn’t want to see the tv show leave the air.
The show which originally aired in 1985, had its final episode air on Channel 5 in Summer 2022.
They brought back a number of beloved characters, who all found fame as actors thanks to the soap – these included the likes of Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan, Natalie Imbruglia and Margot Robbie.
Just four months after Channel 5 took the show off air, Amazon announced it would be picking up the show and begin production shortly with them also signing on a number of old cast members

As of this week, the show’s Instagram account posted a picture of the cast and crew as they began filming in Melbourne.
Some Ramsay Street favourites will be making a return like Alan Fletcher, Lucinda Cowden, Rebekah Elmaloglou, Stefan Dennis and Annie Jones. While there will also be some new actors joining the cast, most notable being none other than The OC’s Mischa Barton.
Neighbours is expected to air on Amazon before the end of the year!
