In the video we see Katy performing, but one of her eye twitches and closes while the other stays wide open, people on TikTok have been coming up with all sorts of theories about how Katy may be a robot!

But the singer has now taken to social media to show she can find the humour in the rumours and the video, explaining the eye ‘glitch’ is actually just her party trick.

She wrote, “Welcoming all my #flatearthers #spaceisfakers #birdsarentrealers #skyisntbluers to come see my broken doll eye party trick IRL in Vegas next year! 😜 The show’s set list is a fun 🎢 through memory lane going all the way back to 2008, a time when we weren’t all frozen by the paranoia of our own echo chambers! 🤸🏻‍♀️

The viral moment wasn’t the only excitement in the singer’s life lately, she celebrated her birthday this week and shared the most adorable snap of her family’s hands, herself, husband Orlando Bloom and their daughter with the caption, “every time i blow a candle out i always wish for you. 38 and grateful ♥️🎂.”
