Love Island’s Shaughna Phillips Has Given Birth

Congratulations are in order for Shaughna and her new family!

Love Island’s Shaughna Phillips has revealed she’s given birth to her first child, a beautiful baby girl and has even shared her name!

Shaughna took to Instagram to share the news with her followers by posting two pictures from the hospital; the first of her holding her newborn in her arms, the second a close up of the beautiful baby girl, who was born on April 4th.

The ex-islander captioned the post: “My darling Lucia, I wish I had you sooner so I could love you longer,” adding that Lucia was born at 8:10pm and weighed 8lbs and 8oz.

Shaughna revealed to her followers a couple of weeks ago that she was going to have to be induced as she had passed her late March delivery date. Unfortunately Shaugna’s boyfriend Billy Webb was arrested just weeks prior to her giving birth meaning he was not present at the birth.

The 28-year-old took to her Instagram Stories to reveal that she gave birth to the song Make You Feel My Love by Adele which she felt was very fitting due to the incredible love she has for her newborn: “The song that was playing when you entered the world, no truer word my darling”.

She had previously revealed in a Q&A that she was choosing not to find out the gender of her newborn but had a name for both a boy and a girl chosen.

Fans and friends including her past Love Island co-stars flooded the comments with love and congratulations for the new mum and her baby girl.

Best friend and ex co-star Demi Jones commented: “I’m so incredibly proud of you!!!! She is absolutely beautiful like her mummy. I love you so much!! Congratulations my angel girl”.

Gogglebox star George Baggs commented: “Awh congrats,” while ex-islanders Eve and Jess Gale also shared their love for mama and baby.
