Who is G-Flip? Everything We Know About The Selling Sunset Star’s Partner

Chrishell Stause and G Flip are married!

The Selling Sunset star shared the duo’s happy news over Instagram on Wednesday. The Instagram reel featured G Flip’s new song “Be Yor Man” which they wrote about Chrishell.

But what else do we know about the Australian musician?

Georgia Claire Flipo, aka G Flip developed an infatuation with music at a very early age. In an interview with FaceCulture in 2019 the musician recalls running around their living room listening to their parent’s records.

“My dad would blast Green Day, The Clash, The Cure, Rancid. Then my mum would blast like; Norah Jones and All Saints so I had a bit of a diverse mix there.”

After receiving a drumkit for their 9th birthday G Flip’s obsession with music grew.

They started out as a music teacher and drummer in a rock band. Eventually, the 28-year-old musician started to write and self-produce their own songs until they signed a record deal with independent record label Future Classic in 2018.

After releasing their debut single, After You, in 2018 the singer had a viral hit on their hands and became an internationally recognised musician. The track was named Best New Track on Pitchfork and within a month of the singles release, G Flip was playing their first solo show.

Since their debut, G Flip has become an international success releasing several new singles, dropping their first album and winning the Breakthrough Independent Artist of the Year at the 2019 Australian Independent Record Labels Association Awards.

As an openly non-binary artist, G Flip understands the influence their prominent social presence has on others, especially within the music industry.

“A lot of what I do in my music, in interviews—any time I get the chance to speak on it—is to educate or be that representation,” G Flip said in an interview with Vogue Australia in February.

The artist’s latest single; Waste of Space which was released in 2022 on International Non-Binary People’s Day, is an example of how G Flip strives to create a safe and inclusive space within the industry.

G Flip explained in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that the track was about their experience of coming to terms with their gender identity and the struggles they faced since their childhood.

“They [the boys] one day said I couldn’t play with them so I walked over to the girls who were in dresses and they said I couldn’t play with them because I was a boy. So then I was stuck in the middle and they’d call me a waste of space. And in terms of the binary and being non-binary I feel like I am that, in the middle of both genders just a mix of that.”

Music is not G Flip’s only passion. The artist has been a major Collingwood Football Club supporter since birth.

G Flip first met Chrishell when the American actress starred in one of G Flip’s music videos, but they were both in separate relationships at the time.

The couple confirmed their romance in May 2022 over Instagram when Chrishell shared a post from the Selling Sunset reunion.
