Everything Team STELLAR Is Loving This Week

All the bits we're into this week.

It’s mid-July, and the weather is grim.

It’s an upsetting revelation to contend with, but hopefully your weekend will still be filled with nice, fun things that aren’t effected by the fact that you can’t really go outside.

Here at Team STELLAR, our week was dominated by just that. From tasty food to lovely candles, here’s everything we’ve been loving this week.

Jade is loving… Festivals!

It’s been festival szn for a while, so if you haven’t already grabbed a slab of cans, pitched your tent, and indulged in a weekend of class acts, what exactly have you been doing with your summer?

One of our fav festivals, All Together Now, is back for another year this August, and earlier this month they showcased a special preview for their exciting The Circle Stage with Jameson.

This year, the stage has teamed up with iconic workwear brand Dickie’s to create the ‘Crafted Together’ collection, a new, workwear collab of apparel and accessories ideal for your funky festival ‘fits.

If you’re heading along yourself this summer, it’s time to get pumped. Let’s just hope it isn’t raining… please.

Aoife is loving… Muji stationary

Nothing gets me higher than a blank notebook, fresh pens, or a roll of washi tape. And in my humble opinion, Muji is the crème de la crème when it comes to stationary.

All of their bits are minimal and functional, but still super cute; I particularly love their paper schedule note (it’s undated so you can come back to it if you’re inconsistent like me). Also, pastel highlighters and transparent sticky notes – obsessed!

Lorna is loving… Little trips away

Don’t get me wrong, I love a big trip away – realistically who doesn’t? But, there’s something about a trip round the island of Ireland that just hits different. Whether it’s down to Dingle for a bit of a trad weekend or to Galway for some brilliant food you’ll never run out of places to fill those weekends with.

I’m headed to Galway this weekend with my dad for our little summer weekend away. We do it every year, although the weather is usually on the better side.

We take in a concert in the Big Top and work our way around our favourite restaurants. As I’ve gotten older and my friends have learnt how to drive, we’ve gone away for the weekend more and more. It really is a nice change from just sitting at home with the tv on, although we do love those kinds of weekends too.

Jade is loving… Incredible food

One for the foodies! Luxury 5-star hotel The Conrad’s restaurant Coburg is launching its very own Supper Club, inviting food fans far and wide to enjoy an expertly curated evening of food and wine.

The Club’s four-course tasting menu has been created by Executive Head Chef, Marek Sulg, celebrating the best of Irish produce and suppliers.

Dishes we’re only dying to try include crab meat in cucumber cannelloni, pan fried monkfish, and of course, a delicious duo of Irish cheeses to finish. Sign us up!

Aoife is loving… Walks in nature

Is there anything more grounding than a good old nature walk? I recently visited the gorgeous Curracloe beach in Wexford. It runs parallel to a deep woods called The Raven, so you can start in the forest and then emerge onto the sand… magical.

There’s something about totally detaching from any sort of media that I find really life affirming too. Though it’s always great to tune into a podcast or album, sometimes it feels like it’s all one big distraction.

Listening to waves crashing, birds chirping, and feet crunching twigs is a mindful experience that reminds me to be grateful for this life we have. Corny, I know!

Lorna is loving…Vitamin C

The more we move into the summer (you wouldn’t think it with this rain) the more I’ve been thinking about my skincare. I’m a fiend when it comes to it so when I noticed certain areas on my face were getting dry and scaly on my face, I couldn’t quite comprehend it.

I use a hyaluronic acid serum and hydrating moisturiser twice a day and drink water religiously (I literally drink nothing else), so I couldn’t figure out why my skin was drying out. I decided to add in a Vitamin C serum to see if it would make a difference and do you know what, it did!

I added the new Neostrata Vitamin C serum to my routine and after a week it has made my skin brighter and has gotten rid of those dry patches that I am self deducing are a result of the crazy weather.

The formula is lightweight and easy to absorb while providing skin with antioxidant protection from external aggressors and oxidative stress, helping to reduce discolouration and even the skin tone. Neostrata -1, weather – 0.

Jade is loving… Candles for summer (groundbreaking)

This week the days are dull and the nights are rainy – optimum time to stick on a candle, imo.

The latest little number in my personal collection is the Doyle Collection’s stunning Donegal Turf candle, notable for being the signature scent in Dublin’s The Westbury hotel.

Team STELLAR was invited down to the Westbury earlier this week to check out their newly refurbished PV Doyle Suite, a gorgeous space dominated by hand-picked artwork, antique furniture, and a beautiful contemporary vibe.

Now we just need to spend a night there. But the candle will do in the meantime.
