Founded by friends Charlene Flanagan and Niamh Ryan, Ella & Jo has become a beloved Irish beauty brand since launching back in 2017.

With even more new products on the way in 2024 and some gorgeous Christmas gifting options, we caught up with Charlene and Niamh to find out all about what’s to come!

Ella & Jo has continued to grow this year, how was that been for you both?

We believe 2023 will go down as the pivotal moment of growth and scale for Ella & Jo. Launching into new markets, international exposure, more than doubling turnover year on year, new hires including a Managing Director, launching our first UK pop up and of course new products added to our already incredible range.

As the founders, this growth signifies that we’re making a positive impact on our customers’ lives and the market as a whole. It’s a source of pride and motivation to continue pushing the boundaries of what Ella and Jo can achieve

What have been your standout moments from this year?

Charlene – Every month there has been a significant standout moment but a big moment for me this year was being the first Irish skincare brand to launch an advent calendar, it has been on the vision board since day one and it was very exciting to see it come to life. And also launching into Boots Ireland both online and in store.

Niamh – Opening our UK pop up in November as the first international pop up is the first of many standout moments for me. As an ex Unilever brand manager in the UK seeing Ella and Jo launch into the UK market has been a full circle moment.

Will 2024 be an equally busy one?

We are definitely entering 2024 with a very grateful heart, we started this company six years ago with the vision to help people globally to feel more confident in their skin, we have done a super job so far and our plan for the next 12-24 months is to aim high.

With our new MD Emily looking after the day to day, we as the founders can really focus on the bigger picture and taking Ella & Jo global.

This year we launched three new products which are all part of our expanding ‘Moments’ range. The Glow Up Enzyme Mask was a 24 hour sell out and has quickly grown to be one of the more popular products of the entire range.

Loved by UK celebrity makeup artist Hannah Martin, TV extraordinaire Muireann O Connell, beauty editors and more, it is a fantastic product for anyone to have as part of their skincare routine. There are some very exciting new innovations and curveballs coming to our brand so watch this space 2024!
