How To Pull Off The Glossy Lip This Summer With E.l.f Cosmetics

Lip oils and high-shine glosses are making a serious comeback and when it comes to your pout this year, the wetter the better. Clear glosses are back on the scene and we’re here to tell you how you can achieve the wet look with e.l.f. Cosmetics.

EXFOLIATION

The first step when prepping lips for the glossy look is to remove dry, chapped skin using the Lip Exfoliator in ‘Coconut’ (RRP €6.45).

Gently rub the lip exfoliator over your lips in small, circular motions and then wipe gently with a cotton pad.

PRIMING

The next step is to take the Lip Plumper and Primer (RRP €4.95) to create a base for your lip colour that lasts all day. The cinnamon scented Plumper enhances your lips with a subtle plumping tingle effect for fuller, larger looking lips. Apply the lip plumper over the primer.

ADDING COLOUR

The Day to Night Lipstick (RRP €6.95) has a dual-ended tip and a conveniently beautiful soft shade for day and a bolder shade for night.

Twist up your desired shade of your Day to Night Lipstick and apply to bare lips. Our go-to shade is ‘Need it Nudes’. For a precisely contoured look, apply with a lip brush starting from the outline and blend the colour in.

THE LIP OIL

This Tinted Lip Oil (RRP €7.95) adds a beautiful sheer shine to your lips. Apply a coat of the Tinted Lip Oil over the Day to Night Lipstick for a glossy, customised finish. We recommend ‘Nude Kiss’.

ADDED SHIMMER

For some added high shine to finish, apply a layer of Lip Plumping Gloss (RRP €6.95) over your Lip Oil. The Lip Plumping Gloss helps plump the lips with nourishing hydration. The invigorating high-shine formula provides a soothing sensation while it adds volume to the lips. We are obsessed with shade ‘Champagne Glam’.
