Let’s Talk About Collagen Peptides

Okay, so by now we all know about the benefits of hyaluronic acid, retinol and SPF for our skin when it comes to hydration, anti-ageing and protection. But peptides are another super ingredient that have been important well, forever, but are less of a beauty buzzword. Peptides are a string of amino acids that deliver ingredients to our skin cells. Olay’s penta-peptide in this product is designed to allow collagen to penetrate ten layers of skin, restoring what is lost with age and time.

It also contains Vitamin B3, which you might recognise through its trendy name – niacinamide, which boosts cell turnover and strengthens the barrier.

I’ve been using these products every day for three weeks, and my skin feels firmer and I definitely think my fine lines appear less obvious. Plus they’re suitable for my oily, breakout prone skin. Sometimes I just use the serum underneath my Regenerist Whip SPF30, and I’m protected all day.

Really love how cooling the serum is – it almost has a milky consistency so it feels so nice to put on my puffy warm face in the morning. It’s really hydrating and the dropper is so easy to use too!

The moisturiser is really nourishing, a small bit goes a long way. I’ve oily skin so usually I’d be hesitant of a heavier cream, but this gave me just the right amount of glow without feeling too slippery. Makeup glided on top of it, so it makes for a great base.

I love the consistency of the moisturiser. It is lovely and light and doesn’t feel greasy on the skin. It’s sinks into the skin really nicely and I also love the fact that the products are fragrance free. This has a more natural feel to it and is less overpowering than some moisturisers can be. The serum adds that extra layer of moisture and works as a great base under foundation.
