We haven’t given enough praise to linen and tbh, we’re ashamed. A fabric that has been around since day dot and too often just associated with bedsheets and homewares; linen certainly needs more credit for it’s versatility and we’re here to tell you why.

Not only is it airy and fabulous for our temperamental weather, it’s so easy to style. Linen has become the ultra cool-girl staple of summer 2020 and certainly, autumn too thanks to the ultra chic Scandinavian fash pack who are always teaching us a thing or two on minimalistic, comfortable and effortless dressing.

Focusing more on strong structure rather than print, neutral linens not only go with every skin tone, but they also work well with practically every colour palette meaning you can dress them how you want.

Be it an oversized linen shirt with some dad jeans and chunky trainers, or a linen dress with sandals and a statement crossbody bag, how you dress it is entirely up to you, but it’s no surprise linen has always been a major sell with boho gals like Meghan Markle who is a major fan of the trend.

Loving the asymmetric hemline and shift-like silhouette of linen dresses, Meghan has been spotted in women-run sustainable fashion brand, Magic Linen, teaming her dresses with simplistic jewellery, hair and shoes.

Her dress is available online here in white and pink.

Want to copy the trend? Here are five other STELLAR top picks we’re eyeing up right now.
