Meet Robyn Gillespie, the first winner of the STELLAR x essence Young MUA of the Year competition. We caught up with Robyn after an exclusive shoot where she dazzled with two distinct looks: one everyday style and one that showcased her artistic flair.

Robyn’s first look was a blend of vintage and drama, complete with lace and a bold eye shape. “It’s amazing how shading and highlighting can transform your face,” she told us. This detailed look took her about four hours to perfect.

For her second look, Robyn went for something more wearable – a fresh, spring-summer vibe.

She focused on achieving glowing skin, filled in her brows with an essence eyebrow pencil, and used a glowing primer and blush. Perfect for anyone wanting to replicate a light, breezy makeup style at home!

Robyn’s inspiration comes from everywhere. “I get inspired by different artists, pieces of art, and even window displays. Sometimes, toys like Monster High dolls with their cool makeup trends catch my eye,” she revealed.

It’s no surprise when Robyn tells us her ultimate goal is to work in makeup, whether it’s for movies, events, or content creation.

“I love making videos and sharing my work. Winning the STELLAR x essence competition was surreal. I didn’t expect to win at all. It took a few hours to process that it really happened!”

Robyn’s go-to essence products? “The lip glosses are iconic, and I love the mascaras and lip liners – they’re creamy and long-lasting.” And her dream client? “Harry Styles! I’d love to do his makeup!”
