Seriously?! Here’s Why Gwyneth Paltrow Gets Stung By Bees For Beauty
And we thought her vagina facials were bad...
Leaning in to our yawns, consciously uncoupling and, of course, treating our vaginas to regular facials – Gwyneth Paltrow has treated us to a whole host of bizarre lifestyle ‘tips’ over the last couple of years.
But this latest one has to be her most out-there yet… not to mention her most painful.
Speaking to the New York Times this week about her beauty obsession, Gwyneth recalled some of the weirder “services” she’s turned to over the years in her quest for ever-glowing skin, including getting stung by bees to help clear blemishes and redness.
“It’s a thousands of years old treatment called apitherapy,” the actress explains.
“People use it to get rid of inflammation and scarring. It’s actually pretty incredible if you research it. But, man, it’s painful.”
And if you hadn’t already guessed, Gwyneth says she loves being the first to pioneer new and interesting beauty treatments.
“I’m always the guinea pig to try everything. I’ve got to try them all,” she admitted.
“I love acupuncture. Also, I just heard of a service called a sound bath, which might be too hippie-ish even for the likes of me.
“It’s some new healing modality. I might not be able to handle it. But generally, I’m open to anything.”
A sound bath? We’d take that over being stung by a crowd of angry bees any day…
