This One Beauty Mistake Is The Reason Your Brows Don’t Look As Good As They Could Do

It could even be causing them to fall out!

We’ve all been guilty of being just a little too heavy-handed with a pair of tweezers and pulling out a few too many hairs from our eyebrows. This has led us to do many things to help them grow back in, like loading them up with castor oil, applying special growth serums and even giving them a bit of a massage to kick start the process.

But there’s one big mistake that could actually be making them even thinner, and in extreme cases, causing them to fall out. It’s using moisturisier.

That’s right, brow expert Sanja Vucetaj believes that although moisturiser is good for you skin, it has a different effect on your eyebrows.

Speaking to Popsugar she explains “We tend to treat the brows as skin, but they’re actually hair follicles, and if we wouldn’t put something on our scalp, why would we put it on our brows? Clients who are careful to avoid any lotions have noticed tremendous growth – it just takes patience!”

Does that mean we need to ditch all our magic lotions and potions in the name of good brows? No, it just means you need to be a little extra careful when applying them.

A hot tip? We say take inspo from Kylie Jenner and apply your moisturiser with a brush. It helps your make-up to stay put too, don’cha know.
