Update Your Wardrobe With These 3 Key Style Pieces
It's all about shopping savvy this season
Well aware of the negative effects fast fashion has on the planet, updating your wardrobe every so often looks a little different now for many of us than it did before. Instead of mindlessly splurging on items we don’t need every payday, we’re now much more meticulous about what we choose to add to our wardrobes.
Only adding the items that we know we will get mileage out of, we’ve soon learned that shopping savy is good for both the environment and our bank accounts. So, if you’re in the market to add a few key pieces to your wardrobe that will see you through this season and the next 10, we have you covered. Here are three of the best pieces you could add to your wardrobe this winter season.
Black Trousers

Black trousers are the kind of staple item that many of us own, but few of us actually get right. The key is all in the cut, if you’re petite, a slip fit crop leg might be for you, and if you’re taller, you can elongate your legs even further with a pair of high-waist wide-leg trousers.
It has been a while since plain black trousers were en Vogue (circa 2005 I think) but they are back and so easy to wear and style. Teamed up with a sparkly top and boots for those restaurant visits this season, or styled down with a light knit and runner for a more casual occasion.

Bright Suits

Okay, so we may not be rushing to any dance floors or large dinner parties this Christmas season, but that doesn’t mean we can’t treat ourselves to something pretty. A bright suit is the perfect investment piece, as both separates can be worn with other bits – think the blazer with some smart jeans for when we’re back in the office.
The brighter the better in our opinion, so if your favourite colour is orange, then go for it! If you’d like to keep things a little more subtle, then go for a dark green or purple.
