What Team STELLAR Is Loving This Week

Happy St Paddy’s Day eve, everyone.

It’s almost March 17 – a time for dyeing rivers green, drinking Guinness, and perpetuating every single Irish stereotype under the sun.

Alternatively, you could not do any of that and instead enjoy yourself a read of everything that Team STELLAR has been loving this week.

Today also marks the release of our stunning April issue, starring the incredible Niamh Cullen. This issue is the first for our new editor Megan Roantree, and is jam packed full of brilliant features, insightful interviews, fashion, beauty, and more. Pick it up this long weekend, you’ll thank us later.

So, without further ado, here’s everything the team has been into this week.

And lots of it. Dublin is experiencing a dare-I-say renaissance when it comes to restaurants. It almost seems like every week a new delicious eatery is opening its doors and I personally am more than here for it.

One of the most recent establishments to open its door is Flâneur in Rathmines. A sister-site to the incredible Sprezzatura, this casual French dining experience boasts small plates with big flavours. And wine. Lots of wine.

STELLAR was lucky enough to try the new spot and let me tell you, the eggs cooked in brown butter? To die for.

Lorna is loving… taking care of my hair

Stress and anxiety has been a serious issue for me since I was in school so much so that during my Junior Cert year I started losing my hair which left noticeable bald patches. If you could see and feel my hair you’d realise how shocking that must have been because I have A LOT of hair. I’ve struggled since then with hair falling out, trying every product in the book to try and make it better.

While I managed to get rid of the bald patches I was still losing hair at a ridiculous rate. My hairbrush needed to be cleaned 4-5 times a day and I had to clear my shower drain every time I used it and my clothes always came out of the washing machine with balls of my hair attached to them – awful I know.

A couple of weeks ago I was sent Hair by Sam McKnight’s Deep Cleanse Shampoo, Rich Nourish Conditioner and Deeper Love Mask. I’ve been trying them out since I received them and lads I don’t say I’m amazed very often but… I’m amazed! The handfuls of hair that were falling out in the shower aren’t anymore, the hairbrush doesn’t need to be cleaned after every use and my hair has never been as soft and shiny as it is now. I’ve always been a once a week hair wash kinda girly so the fact my hair looks good even past the week mark is just the cherry on top

Sam McKnight thank you for entering my life, you’ve made a world of a difference already!

Jade H is loving… Flowers for spring (groundbreaking)

There are few things in this cold, hard world that brighten up a day more than a bunch of beautiful flowers.

They’re colourful, they smell good, and they’re sure to make any room at least 50% more inciting. If you’re hoping to spruce up your living space ahead of this week, let me suggest the beautiful Flower Pop – a Dublin based florist specialising in beautiful blooms, stunning stems, and of course – colour!

I’ve had a bouquet of theirs in my kitchen for a few days now and it’s quickly become the best thing about the space. Adore.

Lorna is loving… stunning eyeshadow palettes

I love a no make-up makeup look as much as the next gal, concealer and mascara is a through and through look in my opinion. But when a new (to me at least) eyeshadow palette comes into my possession, well, it’s game over.

I recently started using Vieve: The Muse Palette, and fell in love so easily. Its mauve based colours are a makeup lovers dream and don’t get me started on the pigment and colour pay off… absolutely magnificent.

The best part is how easily bendable they are making it super simple for beginners and totally loved by professionals.

I don’t think I’ve ever come across a palette like it in terms of all round fabulousness. Best addition to my makeup collection by far!

Jade H is loving… Soda Blonde

And SOAK, and the X Collective, and so much more incredible Irish talent.

Earlier this week, Jameson threw a pre-Paddy’s Day party in Dublin’s the Camden. Featuring performances from the above acts, delicious cocktails, and even a tarot reader, the event was the ideal early-week soiree, and probably the most fun I’ve had on a Monday in a long time.

A fan of headliners Soda Blonde I was sure to perch myself front and centre by the time they hit the stage… even if everyone else I knew had bailed by then. Worth it.
