My 30 Day Yoga Challenge Diary: Day 10
10 days in on our 30 day yoga challenge and we're back on track.
Apparently all I needed was a few glasses of wine and a yoga free day yesterday to restore my sanity.
Although I did feel mildly guilty for substituting a glass of wine for my yoga mat, I felt like a new woman today and I was ready for whatever poses they might throw at me.
Unfortunately, when I arrived at the 5pm class the hottie I’d spied at class previously was nowhere to be found (sigh) but at least he wouldn’t be serving as a distraction for my yoga class.
The class wasn’t too packed, so that meant I had enough space if I needed to fall over (which was inevitable). It also meant I got some one-on-one time with the instructor.
In other situations when a teacher comes over to help me in front of the rest of the class I get seriously mortified but there was something so calming and helpful about the way the instructor guided me that I didn’t mind at all.
I was finally getting back into the swing of things and as we repeated the moves I felt like I was getting the hang of it! YAY!
I left the class feeling zen and fab. I decided it would really help me sleep if I did yoga right before bed but obviously this isn’t possible because I am a night owl and am most productive at night. So instead I found the next best thing to ease my insomniac tendencies; an online guided sleep meditation.
I was asleep within ten minutes. I highly recommend giving this a go if you are a suffering insomniac like me.
