SQUEAL! OITNB Season 5 Is En Route And There’s Going To Be A MAJOR Twist

When season four of Orange Is The New Black dropped on Netflix last June, we binge-watched all 13 episodes in about, uh, three days.

Sadly, that left us with a massive prison drama-shaped hole in our lives, knowing that we’d likely be in for a year-long wait until we’d get some answers to that end-of-season cliffhanger.

Now, FINALLY, we have some details about when the new season of OITNB will air and the form it’s set to take.

Unfortunately the deets are pretty vague, but we’ll take ’em.

Unlike previous seasons, which have spanned several weeks or months of life in the prison, Danielle Brooks, AKA Tastee, has revealed that all 13 episodes of the new season will take place over only three days.

“It will be very detailed, very intense. You better get ready, get your popcorn, your tissues,” Danielle confirmed to E! News.

As for when the season will officially be released, Danielle knows about as much as we do.

“I don’t know when it’s coming out because they don’t ever tell us, but sometime in the summer,” she has revealed.

Sigh. That’s still agessss away, so to go someway to easing your untameable yearning for the new season until then, here’s the cast accepting their SAG Award for Best Comedy Ensemble earlier this week.

Oh, and here are our theories for how season five is going to pick up after that epic season four finale. Our money’s on number three. Whaddya reckon?
