5 Free Things You Need To Do This Weekend
These five weekend events are super fun, and best of all, totally free. #YAY.
Docklands Summer Festival Grand Canal
The Docklands Festival is happening on Saturday and Sunday and among the market stalls, music, fun fairs and street performances, there’ll also be a massive rubber duck race, water displays, wakeboarding extravaganzas and floating golf.
Outdoor cinema showing Groundhog Day
We’re hoping the sun is shining for the outdoor screening of one of our favourite flicks showing this weekend. Happenings are presenting Groundhog Day in Leinster Cricket Club in Rathmines on Friday, and gates are open at 7PM. There’ll be a number of food stalls but you’re free to bring a picnic. Remember to pack a blanket and some warm clothes too. Now all we need is a date…
Kerry Pride
The marriage referendum is just around the corner and if you’re in Kerry, get yourself to the Pride Festival. It’s taking place in Tralee and there’ll be music, dancing, bowling and dog shows too. If you’re there on Friday, pop into Roundys where you can pick up some free pizza slices. #nom. All the event details are here and the festival will run until the 25th.
Temple Bar Food Market Party
The Temple Bar Food Market is turning 18 and there’s a bit of a party going on to celebrate it. There’ll be loads of deals, live music, pop-up performances, a photo exhibition and much more going on so deffo pop down to the square if you’re in the area.
Acting Workshop
Do you see yourself on the big screen but you’re not sure how to get there? Saor Drama School is offering a free taster workshop on the 18th (we know that Monday’s after the weekend but who knows? This could be your big break!) All the info you need is here.
