5 Fun Things To Do Outdoors While It’s Sunny This Weekend
Happy 4th Of July weekend. Here are some outdoor things you can get up to this weekend.
4th July Festival
We’re really excited for this US-themed event organised by Lovin Dublin. Other names backing the event are Eddie Rockets, Just Wing It and Leinster Rugby. There’s going to be an American Football game, cheerleaders, outdoor cinema, and an incredible food village full of all the delicious eats you can imagine. Tickets are only €15 and it begins at 2pm in Donnybrook Stadium.
Paolo in the park
We have literally been holding our breath for this. Paolo Nutini is playing in Marley Park on Saturday and it’s going to be absolutely amazing. He’s also being supported by Alabama Shakes and Imelda May. The gig starts at 4pm so it’s nice and early and we have our fingers and toes crossed, hoping that the sunny weather remains.
Colour me Cork
The colour run hits up Cork this Saturday and it’s a 5k walk or run which is promising to be a lot of fun. At each kilometer of the race, participants will be showered in a colour extravaganza and on completion everyone gets to bring home a lovely goody bag. There will also be loads of other freebies and treats dished out throughout the day, not to mention live entertainment, music, food stalls and ice cream vendors. It’s happening at The New Tramore Valley Regional Park in Cork City and the race starts at 3.45pm.
Outdoor Party in Fitzwilliam Square
This party is happening on Sunday and if last year’s event is anything to go by, it’s going to be some unbelievable fun. There will be fantastic new Irish talent, from acoustic numbers to funk and The East Side Tavern is hosting the after party. There will also be a selection of summer bites from falafel to burgers, courtesy of the delicious Irish Village Markets. Hundreds of people showed up last time so we’ll be getting there on the dot of 3pm. See you there!
Yoga, Yoga, Yoga
We can’t get enough of yoga this month and especially when we get to enjoy it outdoors. Hundreds of people have been flocking to parks around Dublin to enjoy some super relaxing weekend yoga. The crowds gather by the bandstand in Stephens Green at 11 on Saturday and the classes are free. If you’re closer to Phoenix Park, get there at 11 too and you’ll find a pretty similar set up. Enjoy lovely yogis.
