5 Things Team STELLAR Is Loving This Week

What we're doing, recommending and grateful for this week.

What a week!

If you’ve been keeping up with us on social media, you’ll know it was a huge week for us here at STELLAR, with a brand-new gorgeous issue on shelves starring the fabulous Amy Huberman, the return of our STELLAR Hayu InstaStar Awards, events and lots of celeb goss to digest, it has been a whirlwind, but quite a fabulous one.

As August is drawing to a close, we are seeing Autumn trends creeping in and although we adore the summer sun, this mild but autumnal weather is kind of a vibe rn. Breaking out the boots with the last of our summer fits is a must at the moment, let’s hope it stays mild as long as possible…

With that said, we wanted to catch up and share our recent antics with you guys! Here’s what STELLAR’s been loving and living for recently!

It’s back once again and I couldn’t be more excited. Our STELLAR Hayu InstaStar Awards launched this week and it was an absolute ball getting to chat to some of the nominees, congratulate them and catch all the content for our lovely readers and followers.

The launch was a hit with 100,000 votes being placed in just 24 hours! Wow, keep up the enthusiasm.

Getting to be involved in such exciting events is one of the many perks of the job. I’m already thinking about what to wear on the night, as I’m sure our nominees and attendees are too!

Hopefully you’re all as excited as we are, make sure to get your votes in for your faves here!

Denise is loving… the return of Electric Picnic

Festival season is unfortunately coming to a close *sighs*, but we’ve got one final field dance left in us and lads, it’s a goodun’. Electric Picnic is back after a long anticipated wait, little did we know in 2019 it’d be the last for a while. But it’s back and bigger than ever before! If you’re happening to head down next weekend, make sure you check out the new Three stage.

Three has partnered with one of Ireland’s most exciting collectives, Narolane Records, to open the 3 All For Music stage on Saturday with an exclusive performance. Narolane, fronted by Limerick rappers God Knows, Denise Chaila and MuRli, will be joined by a collection of guest Irish artists at the 3 All For Music stage for a very special show. One to defo check out!

Ladies and gentlemen, Britney is back. And who better to help herald in a new era of our favourite pop princess, than legend of the genre Elton John? The pair have teamed up on an exciting new song “Hold Me Closer”, which is a remix of Elton’s classic ballad “Tiny Dancer”. An upbeat dance track, this collab will be finding a special place in my Electric Picnic campsite playlist (any excuse to play Britney and I’m sold). And for an added bonus, the track’s cover art features the cutest pics of Elton and Britney as kids. We Stan.

Jade is loving… a cocktail party

If you know me, you’ll know I’m partial to a cocktail, anything fruity and delicious is right up my street.

This week I headed along to the launch of Mr. L’s Cocktails which is a new range of ready to drink, premium cocktails. Delicious! The pornstar martini (my drink of choice on any given night) is so easy to drink, with a range of different cocktails including Pina Colada, 1930’s Cosmo, Whiskey Sour, and P*rnstar Martini, they are perfect for a girly night in without having to wait at the bar! Simplicity when it comes to making any beverage is a plus!

Available at Molloys.ie, irishmalts.ie plus, they’ll be rolling out elsewhere in the next few weeks, just in time for party season!

Denise is loving… our brand-new Sep/Out issue of STELLAR

It’s an autumn special this month. Our October/November issue has hit the shelves and it’s as pumpkin-spice-meets-chunky-knit as you can get.

Yes, if you’re like us and there’s just something about the nights getting a little darker and the weather getting a little bit colder that makes you feel an unexplained sense of giddy and excitement, well, get ready because this issue of STELLAR is here to get you ready for AW22.

From the clothes to shop now, the trends that will be everywhere and the beauty to stock up on, we’re going to have you ready and set.

Taking to the cover this month is the fabulous Amy Huberman. After a rough few months since the passing of her dad, Amy chats with us about how life has been, the hard process of dealing with grief and how she’s got through the tough times. Amy also spills some exciting news about her latest book The Day I Got Trapped In My Brain, which is available to pre-order online now!
