Feeling Those January Blues? Here’s Everything Coming To Netflix This Month To Get You Through This Dark Time

And just like that, Christmas is over

We’re mere days into the month of January and nerves are already running thin. Emerging from the ham and baileys filled stupor that was the Christmas period, it’s officially back to work for many of us across the country, and our moods are none the better for it.

When funds are running extremely low and you’re vowing to give Dry January a decent try, finding ways to entertain yourself without leaving the house can prove difficult.

Enter Netflix.

We come bearing good news, as the streaming service is set to have plenty of shiny new shows for you to watch in what we can call the worst month of the year.

Here’s a list of all the shows coming to Netflix this January.

Spinning Out (January 1)

You might recognise the lead girl as Effy from Skins, Kaya Scodelario plays the role of an aspiring Olympic skater as she deals with personal struggles both on and off the ice.

AJ And The Queen (January 10)

This new series shows our fave Queen RuPaul like you’ve never seen him before. Starring as a drag queen who teams up with an 11-year-old, recently orphaned girl, the series follows the two as they travel around America from club to club in a camper van in search of her stolen savings. It sounds like everything we could have wished for and more tbh.

Anne With An E – Series 3 (January 3)

For all of you who fell in love with season one and two of the series, you will be happy to hear that the third and final series is here. If you haven’t watched the previous seasons but a real-life adaptation of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s novel Anne Of Green Gables sounds up your street then we advise you get watching ASAP.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: part 3 (January 24)

Also returning with a new season is the Chilling Adventure of Sabrina. Following the story of a teenage witch, this season will see Sabrina prepare to enter hell in order to save her boyfriend Nick.

Next In Fashion (January 29)

Have you been experiencing a Project Runway shaped hole in your life in recent times? Well, prepare for the void to be filled, as Next In Fashion, a competition series will show some of the world’s best-undiscovered designers compete for the chance to become the next big name in the fashion world. Oh, and the show will be hosted by Queer Eyes Tan France and the queen that is Alexa Chung (eek).

Messiah (January 1)

If none of the above float your boat, then maybe this new thriller will. The series will show a man who builds a group of followers who believe he is a divine messiah figure, but in the process, this messiah becomes a threat to international security.

Sex Education: Series 2 (January 17)

The highly popular comedy-drama will return to continue the story of main character Otis, a teenager who, with the help of his friends, sets up a sex clinic at his school.

The Ghost Bride (January 23)

In 1890s Malacca, a young woman finds herself in the afterlife and becomes mired in a murder mystery connected to the deceased son of a wealthy family.
