Dublin Markets

Lucky enough to live within walking distance to a weekend market? Chances are, you probably don’t make the most if it, right? Well, now’s your chance to take a stroll and see what treasures you come across. It could be anything from a stunning jewellery box to the best relish you’ve ever tasted in your life.

If you’re based in Dublin, be sure to check out the Malahide Market on a Saturday, or the Dublin Flea Market on the last Sunday of each month in city centre. This would make for a fabulous date with friends, especially if you top it off with heading out to your favourite restaurant after. If you don’t happen to live near one (or if you’ve had enough of the local market) then make a day of it and take a road trip. Road trip playlist at the ready!

Token, Smithfield

Want to put a twist on date night? Head to Token in Smithfield. Part restaurant, part bar and part arcade, if you’ve yet to come across this gem of a place, slot some time in to visit ASAP. Not only do you get to enjoy their divine food and drinks (try their Bacon Jam Fries, you won’t be disappointed!) but Token is decked out with over 40 retro style video games. So you can beat your date at classic games from Pac Man and Donkey Kong, to Pinball and Mario Kart. Come hungry, and get ready for an evening of harmless rivalry!

Go Quest

For all the adventure lovers out there, this one’s for you. Choose from 28 unique challenge rooms and make your way through as many as possible before time runs out. If you’re coupled up, you won’t be able to do all the rooms as some are only suitable for three people or more. But hey it’s a great way to finally settle who’s the smarter one between you two. Or, for a group, it’s perfect for getting together outside of the pub.
