Everything Team STELLAR Is Loving This Week

Happy four day weekend!

Unless you’re not enjoying a four day weekend, and in that case, I’m sorry, and I hope that you’re okay.

Easter is coming, spring is here, and here at STELLAR HQ we’ve been enjoying a whole host of nice products, experiences, and things this week.

Here’s some of them.

Jade H is loving… Outdoor lunches (in the sun, obviously)

It was sunny recently – you might have witnessed this. Hopefully you went outside and caught some rays, because we’re probably not going to be seeing them again for a long time.

Luckily, some of the STELLAR team were blessed enough to enjoy some drinks and food in the sun, and celebrate the new (and delicious) Hendrick’s Flora Adora gin.

Guests were treated to cocktails made with the new gin, which is inspired by wildflowers, as well as a delectable three course meal in the beautiful surroundings of the Staunton’s on the Green gardens. Stunning vibes all round.

Lorna is loving… Festival fashion

As the days are getting slightly warmer we’re slipping closer and closer to festival season. The thing I love most about this time of year is checking out all the new fashion and beauty looks cropping up.

I was delighted to get to have a sneak preview of all the fabulous new pieces for Regatta Outdoors Spring/Summer 2023 collection. It featured some fabulous pieces from their collections with Giovanna Fletcher and Orla Kiely. The clothes and accessories were printed to perfection with Giovanna’s collection reflecting a nautical theme and the Orla Kiely collection featured her signature floral pattern across swimwear, cover-ups, bags and wellies.

They also brought their festival game to the party showcasing the tents, cool bags and other camping gear they have on offer. You can quite literally get everything you need for festival season all in one place!

Jade H is loving… Anna Haugh’s restaurant residency at The Conrad

If homegrown ingredients, contemporary experiences, and generally delicious food is up your street, then keep reading – because a Dublin hotel is boasting a 7-course tasting menu, and it’s probably the nicest meal you’re going to have this year.

The Conrad Hotel is hosting award-winning chef Anna Haugh’s restaurant residency at the moment, and we were lucky enough to sample the delicious menu. In fact, we tried the vegetarian version of the menu, and it was (unlike most meat-free alternatives to tasting menus I’ve tried over the years) incredible.

The attention to detail of each dish, staff’s knowledge of the ingredients, and the delicious wine pairings that complimented each dish beautifully… the entire experience was curated to perfection, and I found it hard to pick a favourite course (it was the Gubeen tartlet in the end though, it had to be).

The experience itself will set you back €90 pp (not including wine parings), so it’s not a casual night out for most of us. But if you’re into your food, you like your wine, and you fancy a treat this month, this is where you should go. Trust me.

Lorna is loving… The Resident

Anyone who knows me is well aware of my affinity for a medical drama… Grey’s Anatomy, check. Chicago Med, check. The Good Doctor, check. Well, let me just say none of them compare to The Resident! I’m officially obsessed. I started watching it two weeks ago and I’m already on season four, if that tells you anything.

What makes it so good is the character development. People you hate in the beginning you grow to love because they change their ways. But the star of the show Mr Conrad Hawkins is just a huge yes from me. Some people may know him better as Logan Huntzberger or Cary Agos, but it is Matt Czuchry’s portrayal of Conrad that makes him the stand out character. From doing the right thing even if it means breaking the rules to being the smartest internist Chastain Memorial Hospital has ever seen, there’s just nothing not to love about him… and don’t get me started on the romance between him and Nurse Nevin, absolute perfection.

Some other characters that would make you want to watch include Dr. Devon Pravesh, Nurse Hundley, Dr Feldman, Dr Austin and Dr Oakafor. Go on, get bingeing on Disney+ over the four day weekend – you know you want to!

Ireland’s most exciting awards show is back again for another year. And this week, Team STELLAR helped our pals at VIP launch the Platinum Style Awards in Café en Seine along with some of the country’s most glamorous celebrities.

Taking place on Friday, May 26 in the Dublin Royal Convention Centre, this year’s show is set to be better than ever, and it’s safe to say we’re excited to get glam – and to get voting, which you can do at this link here.
