Wedding food can be sooo boring, imagine how happy your guests would be with this!
August is traditionally the most popular month to get married, and to kick things off, Domino’s are giving 10 soon-to-be-weds a chance to have their big day catered by the nation’s best-loved pizzamaker.
Research carried out by Domino’s shows that 50% of guests admitted to being served food they didn’t like at weddings and 71% of couples said they plan to serve their favourite food on their big day. So, it makes sense that more people are investing in food that everyone loves: pizza!
“People are looking for different ways to celebrate this momentous occasion and I see a lot of couples leaning towards a less formal meal or replacing the late-evening feast with food that guests really want,” said Wedding expert Laura Cunningham.
“Many couples invite more guests to join them for a bigger party after the main meal so it’s fun to offer a flexible, sharing food, such as pizza, so everyone feels part of the big night.”
Ian Straughan, Head of Product Innovation at Domino’s revealed that requests for pizza are on the rise in Ireland.
“With wedding season in full swing, we were surprised to learn that almost a third of wedding guests (29%) don’t like the traditional food they’re served. Nearly half (47%) even admit they tend to avoid at least one course, leaving them hungry for an alternative to soggy sandwiches and dehydrated chicken nuggets later in the evening.”
“Domino’s delivers fresh, great quality, hot food ensuring everyone will be happy, whether it’s a Cheeseburger pizza, a Vegi Supreme or a Delight Pizza with only 650 calories.”
