If you’ve recently expanded your brood or you’re currently fostering a pup during lockdown, a dog training webinar that’s taking place this week could be just what you need.

Not only is it free, the webinar is hosted by the co-founder of dog food brand, Werewolf Food. With over 20 years’ experience training detection dogs for governmental services around the world, this Down-based husband and wife duo know their stuff and now, they’re hosting a free webinar to share their expertise.

Focusing on fundamental basic training for young dogs, along with commands such as “sit” and “come”, this webinar is suitable for all owners who might have a dog that struggles with understanding or simply, a pup that’s starting off and needs some basic training.

Taking place this Thursday at 5:30pm, the 30-minute session is the perfect post-work lesson with your furry friend, helping you take away some important tips to put into practice with your dog over the next couple of weeks.

Speaking about the webinar this Thursday, co-founder of Werewolf Food and expert dog trainer, Chris Hanlon, said:

“We’re really excited to host this free webinar and share our dog training skills with those who have recently taken on the responsibility of a dog or puppy. The first few months are really important when a young dog or older dog joins a new home in ensuring that behaviour doesn’t become a problem. The fundamental training skills that we will share are really easy to learn but will make a huge difference.”

And we’ve seen many familiar faces take on dog duties over the past couple of weeks. Doireann Garrihy got a new little puppy for her 28th birthday. Sharing a little snap of dotey Bertie, Doireann was overjoyed with the little pup, who has definitely been a major source of comfort during quarantine too.

Joanna Cooper and Conor Murray also shared a sweet snap of their new family member last week. Introducing little Kevin to Instagram, the fluff-ball is a certainly a coootie.

And while some are making dogs a permanent fixture in their homes, Holly Carpenter, like many, is currently fostering a pup from Dog’s Trust. Sharing photos of little Max over the past couple of weeks, Holly admitted that she’s “SO in love with his sweet nature”.
