#WeddingFails Is Trending On Twitter, Learn From Them Before Your Own Big Day
"During the Best Man's toast at his brother's wedding, my husband congratulated them, not just for their wedding, but for their baby that was on the way..."
Weddings can be stressful to plan and organise, and let’s face it, no matter how on the ball you are sometimes is bound to be forgotten about or go ever-so-slightly wrong. None of this matters in the end, of course, and you barely notice any mishaps when you’re busy enjoying the big day.
That said, there is a lot we can learn from other people’s mistakes or fails from their nuptials.
#Weddingfails is currently trending on Twitter thanks to Jimmy Fallon, so let’s see what we can learn from these awkward moments.
Accidental baby announcement
During the Best Man’s toast at his brother’s wedding, my husband congratulated them, not just for their wedding, but for their baby that was on the way. Unbeknownst to him, that was the baby announcement for the bride’s family who hadn’t been told yet. #WeddingFail https://t.co/kr7MoarSRz

Oh god. The awkwardness. If you are a bride and you are expecting but don’t plan on telling everyone yet, MAKE SURE to remind those who do know, not to say a word. Especially in the speech.
A tight tux
My dad did not try on his tuxedo before the day of my brothers wedding. Since he is built like John Goodman from the original Rosanne, his jacket would not button and his tie was too short. Every family wedding photo you can see a 3 inch gap from his tie to pants. #weddingfail

Remind everyone in your wedding party, even the men, to try on their outfits before the big day – while there is still plenty of time for changes and tailoring!
Carry on…
Tried to be romantic and carry my wife out of the ceremony. Luckily, this was after she said “I do.” #weddingfail pic.twitter.com/8CBMLKsfcN

If you/your parter insists on being carried at any point on the day, please practice. It might not be very romantic on spontaneous to rehearse it, but hey, this above could all be avoided.
Twinning
My mother-in-law wore a wedding dress to my wedding. So, yeah, top that one, Twitter. #weddingfail @jimmyfallon pic.twitter.com/IjqvnXT6Ps

This is probably an extreme version of the situation, but if you feel like you have to, maybe tell those close to you not to wear white, or anything that resembles a wedding dress. Say it in a joking way if you have to, because it might just stop something like this from happening.
Safety first
Wedding DJ here: Couple tried lighting Chinese lanterns. 1st lantern caught itself on fire. 2nd caught the Bride’s dress on fire (big, black charred ring). 3rd actually rose into the air and caught a tree on fire. Huge blaze erupted and now we have a no fire policy. #WeddingFail

If you’re planning on doing something like this, make a plan first. Talk to the managers of the venue and find out the safest, easiest way to put something like this in action.
And then there are some things that you can’t really plan for and just have to laugh.
Like a dress flying off your mam’s car…
My sweet mom accidentally lost my wedding dress the day of my wedding. It flew off her car and someone stole it. I had to find a new dress 2 hrs before I needed to walk down the aisle. I ended up liking my new dress better! #weddingfail @jimmyfallon

Or an accidental SHLAP from the groom…
One time I was filming a wedding for work –@tellstudios @epicmotion – and the groom slapped the bride in the middle of their vows… “There was a Bee” #WeddingFail pic.twitter.com/Mcxk50gPXt

Not sure there is any advice for this one:

Clumsy gals will always be clumsy, even on their wedding day.

We were trying to take a nice picture when I got tangled in my dress and fell off the swing. The photographer was kind enough to capture the moment. ? #WeddingFail pic.twitter.com/0LJlFOSOfk

And our personal favourite, is just too adorable to plan for:
