Now, don’t get us wrong, we’d take sun over rain ANY DAY but there is just one kinda major issue we’re having… not being able to sleep in this heat.
But there might be a solution in your fridge. No, you don’t have to sleep in it – according to Daily Mail Australia, eating eggs can help you doze off. Eggs! Dietician Sharon Natoli says:
Something as simple as eating eggs at dinner time can be a natural sedative as egg whites help the body prepare for bedtime by producing melatonin – which brings on that sleepy feeling.
Eggs also have a good level of the amino acid tryptophan, meaning not only will having a fried egg make you sleepy, it’ll also switch off your brain for the night so you can sleep for longer.
Other studies have shown that eggs can help prevent a number of things like ageing, stress and weight gain, to name but a few.
