Off Out 16th April 2015 by Genevieve Wilson
What’s On This Weekend?
Haven't got a ticket to the The Trinity Ball? Don't fret there's markets, breakfast clubs & stacks more on this weekend.
Record Store Gay 4 #VoteYES
There’ll be live bands, a pop up record store and loads more interesting things going on, at this event that celebrates diversity and music on Saturday. Funds raised on the day will go the @yesequality2015 campaign, and Outhouse’s LGBT Community Resource Centre. Get to Outhouse on Capel Street from 1pm to join in on the fun. All the info is on their Facebook page.
Irish Cycling Show
On yer bike! The Irish Cycling Show is back this year and will be taking place on Saturday and Sunday in The RDS. Last year over 20,000 people visited throughout the day, and this year it’s set to be even bigger. Expect retailers, live shows and plenty of entertainment.
Breakfast Club at Arnotts
Foodies should get to Arnotts Breakfast club on Saturday afternoon. Daniela Moyles and Stephen O’Dwyer will be kicking things off at 11am with the super food breakfast club, where you can sample their #delish protein pancakes and overnight oats. At 1pm, Sprout And Co. mastermind Jack Kirwin will be giving a juicing master class, and from 2pm there’ll be cooking demonstrations by Michelin Star Chef Kevin Thornton. Wanna go to Kevin’s class? You’ll have to drop an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to nab a spot. #WECANTWAIT
Smithfield Market Fair
We love a good market and if you do too, you’ll wanna get yourself to The Generator in Smithfield on Sunday from 12PM. There’ll be over 40 market stalls featuring vintage clothes and jewelry, arts & crafts, and lovely things for your home. Did we mention there’ll be live bands and DJs, tonnes of food and drink, and the screening of the ’80s classic Footloose too? Entry into the the event is free and we highly doubt you’ll be leaving empty handed.
We LOVE Super Miss Sue and we’re so excited about the opening of Luna Steakhouse on Friday at 5PM. We’ll be popping in for some dins and trying the Iberico pork flank, bone marrow mash and creamed spinach. Yum! Secondly, the brunch menu at Söder & Co looks absolutely amazing, so that’s our Sunday morning sorted. King prawn dumplings anyone? Or will we have the chocolate and banana french toast? Hmmm.
Have your say
