A Dublin Branch Of Lidl Is Hosting A Valentine’s Speed Dating Night Next Month
Find love amongst the frozen peas.
Love at first sight can happen anywhere. Even in your local supermarket, apparently.
A Dublin branch of Lidl is holding a one-off singles’ shopping night next month ahead of Valentine’s Day. The invite only event at the newly reopened Tallaght branch takes place on February 12th and is open to anyone single and looking for romance.
If you’re taking part, you’ll be given a “discreet badge” to wear as you do your shopping, to help identify yourself to other singles. Any potential matches will be invited into the “designated love zone,” where there will be chocolate, nibbles and Prosecco on hand for the perfect mini-date.
“If Sunday is your night for shopping, let Lidl play cupid and help you meet a potential match for Valentine’s Day,” the store said in a press release today. “The singles’ shopping night will run from 7pm until 8.30pm and the lucky attendees will be offered a €20 voucher to do their shopping.”
Interested or know someone who is? Email your name and details to love@lidl.ie. You’ll be asked to answer three simple questions, and a selection of people will then be chosen to attend the event. Check out Lidl’s Facebook page for more info.
