Apparently If You Can Answer These 5 Questions It’s A Sign Your Life Is *Complete*
According to one expert, anyway.
Us Millennials have a hard time of it. Growing up, we were basically told we could do anything we wanted: become an astronaut, the President, the next Ally McBeal… whatever took our fancy.
Then, of course, we all hit our twenties and the reality of life hit like a sledgehammer. Er, President? Yeah sounds great, just let us find a salary that covers more just than our rent and one night out a month, thanks.
Even if you’re not quite reaching the dizzy heights you – or your parents – once imagined, if you have a good handle on other aspects of your life, you’re not doing too badly at all. In fact, according to lifestyle expert Sarah Jones, if you can answer the below five questions, your life is not only fine, it’s actually COMPLETE. Sounds good to us.
Take a look at Sarah’s questions below, as divulged to Mail Online:
1. What’s your passion?
Leading a mindful life means finding the things that excite you and working towards keeping those things in your life as much as possible.
2. What is your happiness?
Happiness doesn’t come with a megabucks salary or a MAC lipstick collection the size of a small pharmacy (well, probably not). Sarah says that our true sense of happiness comes from within, when we realise “that everything is exactly as it should be.”
3. Do you know how it feels to wake up with a smile?
If you wake up with a smile on your face, explains Sarah, you’re not only injecting happiness into your own life but into the lives of those around you.
4. Is the cup half empty or half full for you?
Sarah emphasises that a positive attitude will get you through most hardships unscathed. Consider keeping a gratitude journal to note down the things that you’re grateful for at the end of each day, rather than beating yourself up for the things that didn’t go to plan.
5. When was the last time you cried?
Crying, even when it’s done in response to something sad or worrying, can sometimes be exactly the emotional detox your body needs. Don’t be afraid to let those tears out.
