As you may know the Oscars took place last night with many of our favourite stars from the film industry making an appearance to celebrate the last year of cinema.

Among the stars was of course our very own Cillian Murphy, who won the Best Leading Actor Award for his role in Oppenheimer, making him the first Irish winner of the award. We couldn’t be prouder!

Cillian Murphy Wins Best Leading Actor Award

The Cork actor made history at this years Oscars as he became the first Irish man to take home the Best Leading Actor Award.

Cillian was awarded the Oscar for his remarkable role in Oppenheimer directed by Christopher Nolan, who he thanked in his speech saying, “I owe you more than I can say”. 

John Cena Goes Nude

John Cena took everyone by surprise as he took to the stage in the nude to present the award for Best Costume Design.

Ryan Gosling performed I’m Just Ken for the first time ever at this year’s award ceremony and it was full of kenergy!

Ryan stepped out in a fully pink suit with pink gloves for his performance which seemed to be an homage to Marilyn Monroe’s 1953 musical comedy Gentleman Prefer Blondes.

He did Barbie proud.

Emily Blunt and Ryan Gosling Bring Up The Barbenheimer Rivalry

Emily and Ryan had us all in tears as they brought up the whole Barbenheimer rivalry.
