5 Things Team STELLAR Is Loving This Week

What we're doing, recommending and grateful for this week.

How is it the last week of April already? Lads, summer is literally and I mean *literally* around the corner? I know we say January always feels like it goes on for 80 days, but my mind and body is still thinking it’s about March 2nd? I’m shook.

It’s all go at the moment here at STELLAR, speaking of summer we’re busy putting our June issue to press and deadlines are fast approaching (it’s gonna be SO gorge; let us tell you!) From our phenomenal coverstar to the features and fashion, from what I’ve seen so far, I truly cannot wait for it to hit the shelves.

But for now, we’re giving you a little snippet into STELLAR life, here’s what has us talking about in the office this week.

Denise is loving… White Claw Watermelon

The taste of summer, for real. Ireland is actually the first country in Europe to get their hands on the new White Claw flavour, how boujee. The hard seltzer brand keeps knocking it out of the park and just when I thought I locked in my favourite flavour (raspberry), I’ve found a new one, watermelon!

White Claw Watermelon is now available at selected retailers nationwide, at a RRP of €3 per can and €10 for a four pack.

Jade is loving… Andrew Fitzsimons Haircare

The Kardashian’s hair guru Andrew Fitzsimons has released his own brand and of course I was so excited to give it a try!

The products did not disappoint! I have been using the volume shampoo and conditioner as well as the texturising spray (which is a gift from god when styling). As a Kardashian/ Jenner superfan I was looking forward to using the products created by one of their go-to stylists, plus he’s Irish and we love to support our own!

If you loved his Penneys hair line, you’re going to adore these products and there’s so much inclusivity you’ll be sure to find something for your locks.

Andrew’s products are available now in Boots and on Boots.ie.

Adele is loving… Harry Style’s Coachella set

Like many, I’ve been hooked on the looks and gossip emerging from the music festival Coachella for the past two weekends.

Headliner Harry Styles took to the MainStage both weekends, and to say I’m obsessed. Putting on a vibrant show for a sometimes less than vibrant crowd (sorry not sorry), Harry debuted a number of new songs from his upcoming third album along with some excellent looks too. He was joined by surprise guests Shania Twain and Lizzo over the two shows, both of which donned outfits to match Harry’s. The fashion nerd in me was all over the looks, with my personal fave being his strawberry cowboy outfit, a custom made Gucci two-piece, adorned with a strawberry and monogram applique and a fruit belt, it’s a 10/10 for me.

Denise is loving… sustainable taxi options for all

Now launched in major cities across Ireland, FREE NOW has updated its app to include an eco booking option, allowing passengers to choose more sustainable transport options by selecting a hybrid or electric taxi on the app at no extra cost. As someone who uses *a lot* of taxis for my day-to-day job, between heading to events, shoots and interviews, the option to chose a more sustainable way to travel is something I both love to see and try to always seek out! G’wan FREE NOW.

Jade is loving… a Disney Channel Throwback

@selenagomez♬ funky junky hat song – wand.id

Yep, there’s little that brings me quite as much joy as a nostalgic reunion. This week we were blessed with a reunion of one of the iconic childhood bestie duos from Disney Channel. Selena Gomez and Jennifer Stone, who played Alex Russo and Harper Finkle in Wizards Of Waverly Place back in the day, reunited for a cute drinks night and they just HAD to give us this gem.

The pair re-created their hat song from the show, a jingle and dance routine that was to be performed when someone wore a hat to school. “What’s that? A Hat?” You know the one. As a Disney kid through and through I still knew the moves and enjoyed watching their 2022 version, drinks in hand a few too many times.
