Walking has become part of a lot of people’s daily routines since quarantine, with not much else to do a little walk or a long one seems to have been the answer to boredom, stress and cabin fever.
But sometimes your playlist can be a bit exhausted and the same old music just isn’t motivating you to walk any longer. This is where podcasts come in! With a wide array of genres there is literally something for everybody and more out there, we’ve put together a list of some podcasts that can make you want to keep walking cause we just can’t get enough.

The Glow Up by STELLAR
Of course we had to include our very own contribution to the podcast world! Hosted by Vicki Notaro and Valerie Loftus, they discuss beauty, life and work with some amazing guests, if we say so ourselves. Each episode aims to have you feeling inspired to do a beauty haul and a laugh along with guests such as Kardashian-Jenner hairstylist to the stars Andrew Fitzsimons to the podcast queen herself Doireann Garrihy.
Each episode is around 45 minutes allowing us to get those steps in and get some beauty tips all in one go! Check out some of the recent eps HERE!

The Laughs of your life by Doireann Garrihy
In true Doireann style this podcast has had us laughing to ourselves as we walk trying to be discrete so passers-by don’t look at us funny. Doireann brings laughter to life with an array if influential guests who answer a series of questions focussed on the laughter in their lives. This podcast has laugh out loud moments as well as heart-warming tear jerkers as guests relive their most hilarious and some not so funny memories.
Each episode is about 40 minutes which is perfect timing for a nice walk and if you go onto the second makes up for a lovely long one!

Castaway by Laura Whitmore
Another Irish lady who is smashing the podcast scene, Laura has made a podcast, about podcasts! What’s not to love? Whitmore interviews podcast lovers and podcast creators about all things podcasts, this is perfect for a newbie listeners because it can introduce you to new podcasts with each guest and recommendations along the way.
Each episode is 45 minutes to an hour long which rounds up a lovely walking time.

The Teacher’s Pet by The Australian
Australian journalist Hedley Thomas delves into the unsolved case of the disappearance and probable murder of Lyn Dawson. Soon after her disappearance Lyn’s husband, Chris, then brought their 16-year old babysitter in to their home to act as a mother figure to their daughters. In a startling but riveting series the case is analysed and new evidence is found, leading to the reopening of the case by Australian officials.
This is for the true crime lovers, each episode is roughly 45 minutes to 90 minutes long, a podcast that is sure to make you want to extend your walk to get to the next big reveal.
IT GALZ
The galz give their commentary on all things culture and girl talk, totally unfiltered and real, step into the conversation and feel like you’re at a table with your pals as you discuss the recent goss worthy events over cocktails (or tea). This feel good podcast is perfect for some light hearted lols as you pound the pavements. Hosted by Jenny Claffey and Lindsay Hamilton, each episode is about an hour to an hour and a half which is the perfect time for a walk and a goss session.

Calling all fans of spooky stories, this podcast explore what really goes on in a cult, in the members of them and the minds of the people behind them. The hidden worlds inside these cults are interesting, unsettling and just plain addicting to learn about. This podcast is perfect for the curious listener who binges creepy documentaries on the regular.
Each episode is 30 minutes long so adjust your walk to how many episodes you’d like to squeeze in.
The Blindboy Podcast by Blindboy
The arguable king of the Irish Podcast scene, Blindboy from the Rubberbandits stuck gold with his comedy podcast, which includes short fiction, interviews and engaging topics which have gained him an audience that would rival radio ratings. With *colourful* language, in true Blindboy fashion the unique style of the podcast brings relatable content right out of people’s thoughts and onto the podcast.
