St. Patrick’s Weekend is finally upon us and every town in Ireland will be celebrating with their own festivities.

Once you’ve finished cheerfully freezing at the side of the parade (why is it we always seem to be one layer too short?) there’s a whole host of activities to enjoy, so we’ve rounded up seven exciting events to squeeze as much fun out of the weekend as you can.

Just make sure to have the Lucozade and all of the beige food ready for Sunday!

Bingo Loco, Galway

If you’re looking for something a little different on Paddy’s Day, why not try Bingo with a twist? From 5pm on Paddy’s day in Salthill, Galway, enjoy three hours of bingo raving, 90s/00s music, confetti showers and amazing prizes.

There are limited tickets left so act fast – buy them here!

This one is a little more traditional but is sure to be great craic and something fun to do during the day! Former Riverdancer Dearbhla Lennon will be hosting The Ceilí Mór alongside the legendary Shandrum Céilí Band on Paddy’s Day.

You’ll have a laugh learning the steps, enjoying the live music from the main stage, and soaking up the atmosphere. It’s a free and non ticketed event in Stoneybatter. Find out more here.

Panoramic Wheel & Scavenger Hunt, Limerick

Take in a 360-degree view of Limerick city on this stunning panoramic Ferris wheel that will have you 38 metres above Arthurs Quay park.

And if you have any little ones with you during the day, check out the Lumen Street Theatre on a ‘magical journey’ of discovery on a self-guided scavenger hunt throughout the People’s Park. Adorable!
