Here’s What Team STELLAR Is Loving This Week

Just a few bits there now

June is almost over (we know), and we’re anticipated a July that’s sunny, sunny, and more sunny.

Please, just this once.

In the meantime though, here’s everything we’ve been loving this week.

… Ebbing and flowing

Dublin creative space Segotia has just launched their new afternoon yoga and sauna pre-weekend session – and we were lucky enough to try it out.

Every Friday the Rathmines studio is running Ebb + Flow, a gentle and restorative yoga class with teacher Gill Costello, followed by a recharge the Fad Saoil Sauna, (cold plunge and all), and finished with a filter coffee from Two Fifty Square.

The session was just gorgeous – and the space itself is the perfect spot for it. Modern, fresh, and oozing with creativity.

If there’s a better way to spend a Friday morning I’d love to hear it. Find out more here.

… Summer scents

Vanilla. Salted Caramel. Pistachio. All amazing flavours, all amazing scents too.

Sol de Janiero do a good summer scent. In fact, some say they might even do the best. But they’re not just about spritzes – they’re also about oils too. Glow oils, if you will.

Their Glowmotion Glow Oils come in three different shimmery vibes, all scented with delicious Cheirosa ’62, so you can be sure your skin is hydrated, smelling good, and of course glowing all summer long.

Divine.

… Pride vibes

June is Pride month – and this week, it’s Pride weekend in Dublin!

Whether you’re heading to town to see the parade, catching up with some pals at a party, or attending one of the many events and workshops happening around the country, you want to make sure this Pride is one to remember.

NYX Hotel Christchurch is running a Pride Brunch on Saturday, June 28, and it may just be the perfect way to kick off the day.

Hosted by Dylatrix, the brunch will feature performances, delicious food and expertly crafted cocktails. Priced at €50 per person, the experience includes two signature cocktails and a main course.

… A good face mask

The only thing good about coming home from holidays is knowing there’s a cool, gorgeous face mask waiting in the fridge.

Well, it’s not the only thing, but it’s definitely one of them.

Pestle & Mortar have just launched their new Pure Hyaluronic Sheet Masks, expanding their award winning hyaluronic range to include a single-use product you can use on the go, after a long day, or simply as a mid-week treat.

The biodegradable sheet masks deliver a concentrated dose of the brand’s trusted hyaluronic formula through its innovative Skin Drench Technology – offering a noticeable improvement to skin texture and radiance in just 15 minutes.

We’ve tried it and can confirm – it’s hydrating, soothing, and fairly gorgeous.

… A good cleanse

Speaking of hydration, if you’re not investing in a good cleanser, what are you doing with your time (and face)?

I for one have long been guilty of presuming that micellar water cleans my face perfectly. Most of the time, however, it doesn’t, and it needs a good cleanse too.

I’ve been using Sunday Riley’s Aquamarine Melt Gel-Balm Cleanser for the past few weeks, and it’s turned my skincare game around.

Infused with evening primrose oil, cocoa butter, and a rinse-proof hyaluronic acid derivative, the cleanser delivers a boost of moisture, plumping your skin for a glowing, glass-like finish.

Detoxifying malachite and soothing cornflower help balance and calm, while sugar-based cleansers are gentle on your skin’s moisture barrier.

It also smells amazing – win win.

… Our first Irish owned tequila

Summer is spicy marg szn. And what better way to enjoy a margherita than with the first ever Irish owned tequila?

Cinco Patricio is 100% blue agave spirit born in Jalisco and infused with seaweed from Ireland’s Atlantic coast.

The team behind Tribe Gin went to Mexico to create a first for Ireland – our very own Irish owned tequila… and let us tell you, the launch party was a lot of fun.

Tunes, Mexican bites, and of course, margs for days, it’s safe to say we’ll be on the agave for the next while.

… A good watch

A new Irish short film will have its World Premiere at the Galway Film Fleadh next month – and it’s got a seriously stacked cast.

Emmy award winner Fionnula Flanagan, Katie McGrath and Dermot Crowley star in Brown Bread, directed by Limerick woman Shanaugh Connaire.

“Brown Bread is a modern twist on the Irish emigration story,” said Connaire.

“I was very lucky to have spent the last three years working with George and Amal Clooney as Director of Communications at their foundation. I think being in their presence and learning a little bit about the world of Hollywood, gave me the confidence to enter this world.”

The film will have its premiere at the Galway Film Fleadh on July 9.
