A Church In San Francisco Held A ‘Beyonce Mass’ And We Are So Here For It
Beyonce Knowles is known to many of us as the Queen of F*cking Everything, as people quite literally worship at her stage.
But a church in San Fran has taken their love for Bey a step further and have actually held a mass in honour of Sasha Fierce.
Revd Yolanda Norton of Grace Cathedral on the California city presided over the ceremony, that was aimed at empowering black women in the town. Yolanda also teaches a course named ‘Beyonce and the Hebrew Bible.’
The service included choir renditions of Beyonce hits such as Survivor and Freedom, as well as bible readings and spiritual reflections.
“I believe in Beyoncé because she reminds us you have to do things your way,” Professor Norton said.
“Let’s use that as a conversation piece to talk about God. This is a worship service. I know people think this is a gimmick, that we’re worshipping Beyoncé. None of that is true.”
We wonder would Bey make an appearance at her own mass some day!?
