One of the men who was involved in the infamous Kim K Paris robbery back in 2016 has admitted that he had no clue who Kim was.

During Paris Fashion Week in October 2016 Kim was held at gunpoint by 12 men, after robbers had broken into her luxury hotel room/apartment and raided roughly  €9million worth of jewellery from it.

Wasting no time in cashing in on his experience, one of the 12 men involved, named Yunis Abbas, has written about the heist in a book titled ‘I Kidnapped Kim Kardashian’ (Yes, really).

Yunis, whose book was released this week, has been speaking with media outlets to promote it, in one interview with  French newspaper Le Figaro, he admitted that he had no idea who Kim actually was.

Speaking about how the heist came about, he said a friend told him that their target was the ‘wife of a famous American rapper’. Not up to date on his American rapper knowledge, Yunis said he didn’t ask any questions and went along with the plan unaware of who they were robbing.

“Me, I don’t really know any famous rappers. And what you don’t know, you don’t think other people know,” he explained.

“I went along to help to get a diamond, that’s all”

“I would never have imagined that she was so famous.”

Yunis is currently awaiting trial for the robbery, along with the 12 other people arrested. Saying that the book was his way of telling his side of the story, he reflected on the night of the heist, admitting that it ‘went well’.

“It went fast, maybe five, six, seven minutes, from entry to exit, because everything went smoothly. Nobody interfered, the victim handed over the jewels without resistance.”

“The jurors will have to decide, and in theory they’ll do it based only on what’s presented to them in court, but 50 stories have already been told about all this – I wanted to tell my truth, the one I’ve lived.”
