Since we missed out on two potential seasons of Love Island this year, there has been a reality dating show sized hole in our TV schedule.

Luckily the clever people behind ITV2 came up with a show very similar to Love Island, just without the tropical climate.

Their new dating show, The Cabins was already announced before Christmas, but with it set to air next week they’ve given a glimpse into where the contestants will be living and it looks seriously cosy.

The vibe is very much scandi ski resort, think wooden cabins, hot tubs, fur throws and lots of fairy lights.

As you can probably guess, the show will see a series of singletons ditch their dating apps, and enter cabins in the British countryside, all in search of love. Inside the cabins, each couple will spend 24 hours with one another, getting to know each other, like a first date on steriods.

Once the 24 hours are up, they must then decide if the other person was a match for them or if they will be parting ways after a night of cosiness.

Speaking about the show, Paul Mortimer, ITV’s Head of Digital Channels and Acquisitions said:

“We’re thrilled to be bringing this show to ITV2 viewers who will have front row seats, eavesdropping on our couples as they attempt to find true love.”

The show will start on the 4th of January, exactly what we needed for lockdown 3.0
