A STELLAR Sit-Down With Maisie Peters

It's the Best List...

Team STELLAR sits down with UK artist Maisie Peters to see what’s on her Best List…

1. The best holiday I was ever on:

I just went on holiday a few days ago. I went to Kent in the UK. It was only three days and it was in the countryside, but it was very fun. I haven’t been on holiday for many years. So you know what? I’m going to give it to Kent. I’m going to put it to the top.

2. The best advice I was ever given:

I feel like sort of the best advice is one that you actually find yourself doing and I absolutely take my makeup off every single night, and I always have, and I think I always will.

I just think it’s a good way to live your life. If you’re taking your makeup off every night, at least one thing is within your control.

3. My best dinner party dish:

A big bowl of pasta because you can just scoop it up into everyone’s plate.

4. The best thing in my wardrobe right now:

I actually love the [black Roxy] jumper I’m wearing. I bought it in a vintage store in Japan. It’s so cool, It’s like a turtleneck. I love it. I wear it with everything and I think it fits perfectly. I was very pleased to find it.

5. The best book I’ve ever read is:

Wow. That’s a very hard question. Impossible! But I actually love The Great Gatsby, by F Scott Fitzgerald. I studied it in school and I’m still very fond of it.

6. The best tv show:

Succession, easy. Watch it.

7. The best song on your album to drive to:

The Band and I because that’s arguably a song about sort of one big long road trip, which is what the tour is. Yeah, I would drive to The Band and I.

8. The best beauty product I own:

I’m not really a beauty girl. Shamefully, I use the same makeup I’ve owned since I was 16 years old. But I have a little NARS blusher and I love her, she’s teeny-tiny and she comes everywhere with me.

9. The best gift I ever received:

I played Hammersmith Apollo a few months ago and Ed Sheeran very kindly sent me a broomstick as a present for playing Hammersmith. It was like an actual broomstick with a little bow around it.

10.The best place in Ireland is:

Dublin. Has to be Dublin!

11. The person who makes me feel my best is:

Probably my friends. I have lovely friends. I’ll give it to any of them, they can all take it.

12. One of the best things that ever happened to me was:

That’s such a cute question. Probably when I borrowed my friend Olive’s guitar when I was twelve, I feel like that has done me pretty well. I’m going to say that.

Maisie Peter’s album The Good Witch is out now. She plays Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre on October 25th and 26th.
