“A wild ride:” Doireann Garrihy Has Bought Her First Home

Buying your first home is a significant milestone – especially these days.

Where so many of us are left wondering if we’ll ever get to rent comfortably, let alone buy, it’s encouraging to know that others are still managing to get on the property ladder – and we can’t help but be delighted for everyone who does.

Radio presenter Doireann Garrihy shared recently that she has taken a big step and is now a home-owner.

Revealing the news on Instagram, she shared a video of her gorgeous new house. Captioning her post, she said: “All I wanted for Christmas this year was a garden for Bertie…Christmas came early.

“That makes it sound easy. It’s been a wild ride, but we’re homeowners. Now to turn a shell into a cosy spot for 2 (wait for him giving out to me about wanting to go outside).”

Plenty of her pals took to the comment section to congratulate her on the massive milestone.

Her sister Aoibhin commented: “You got there. So so excited for you…mission as chief interior advisor accepted,” and while their sister Ailbhe said “Oh happy happy day Beyond proud of you.”

Dancing With The Stars judge Arthur Gourounlian wrote: “Congratulations I can only imagine the parties you two going to have.”

Room to Improve host Dermot Bannon comment: “Congratulations Doireann!!”

While her co-presenter on RTÉ 2FM Carl Mullan said: “Yeowwwwwwwww massive congrats Swan.”
