We hope this answers the 98572 questions we have
True crime fans will be very familiar with the Netflix documentary that hooked the world last year – Abducted In Plain Sight.
The real-life documentary left us with many questions (a notebook full, in fact) and craving more, and it looks like our prayers may have just been answered, as the documentary is getting its own spin-off podcast.
If you’re not familiar with the documentary, it re-tells the story of Jan Broberg, as she endured multiple years of grooming from a family friend – there’s so so much more to the story of course, but we’ll keep stum and just say that if you haven’t seen it yet – you need to.
The podcast is called Obsessed with: Abducted in Plain Sight and will air next month on March the 2nd.
Wondering what the podcast will actually entail? Well, Deadline has reported that it will take a deep dive into the highly popular documentary, giving more information on the kidnappings and feature brand new interviews with Jan Broberg.
“After audiences around the globe were captivated by the original documentary, they still had many questions,” Said Skye Borgman, director of the documentary.
“It will feature never-heard-before audio from the film and new interviews with the subjects including Broderg.”
“I became literally obsessed with Abducted in Plain Sight, so to work with Skye Borgman on the first large-scale project for Obsessed Network outside of our original podcast is thrilling,” added Patrick Hinds, the podcast’s host.
“If you thought the documentary was wild, just wait until you hear the never-before-made-public recordings this podcast will unearth.”
