Alan Carr Says Adele Got Ordained So She Could Marry Him And His Partner In Her Back Garden

So Adele is a Grammy and Oscar-winning singer and songwriter, and generally recognised as the best in the business. But did we also know that she’s really good wedding planner?

Chatty Man host Alan Carr revealed that he married his longtime partner Paul Drayton in a tiny ceremony in the singer’s back garden earlier this year, presided over by the woman herself.

Alan told Rylan and Emma Willis on This Morning that Adele planned the whole day – including getting ordained so she could marry them:

We’ve known her for ages and when we told her we were getting married she said, ‘Can I please plan the whole day for you?’ So she organised everything – she flew us to Vegas to see Celine Dion sing, she sang our songs for the first dance. It was absolutely amazing. I can never repay her.

“I just want to tell everyone. She won’t say because she’s so private. Flowers, three-course meal, she just planned it all. It was the best day of our lives,” he said.
