All Of Team STELLAR’s Ins & Outs For 2024
Happy Jan
People have been posting their Ins and Outs for 2024 all over social media recently and if you haven’t got around to making your list, keep reading.
If you don’t know what we’re talking about, an Ins and Outs list is basically a list of everything that’s in for 2024 and out with 2023.
These lists include everything from diet, hobbies, trends, fashion, social media, and lots more. Sound simple? That’s because it is.
So, what’s In and Out for 2024, according to Team STELLAR?
In – Reading Before Bed
In 2024 we are swapping scrolling on TikTok before bed with reading a book. Cozying up with a book can improve your quality of sleep as reading promotes a relaxed and peaceful state of mind. So put your phone down and grab a book!
Out – Vaping
As more and more legislation is introduced to deter young people from vaping, it’s looking like this year is set to see a serious reduction in the amount of Lost Marys we’re seeing out and about.
In – Cooking at Home
It’s time to ditch Deliveroo and channel your inner Gordon Ramsay. Why not try a simple recipe from TikTok or even sign up for a cookery class?
Out – Oat Milk
We never thought we’d see the day…
Are we all starting to realise that oat milk isn’t a good dairy alternative? Full of added oils and sugars, oat milk can end up making your skin break out and can even cause an elevation in your blood sugar. Soya all the way!
In – Complimenting Strangers
2024 is all about spreading kindness! Tell a stranger that you like their outfit or that they have a great smile, and you might just make their day.
Out – Podcasts
Apparently, podcasts are Out this year? News to us! We’ll still be listening to our favs I’m Grand Mam all year.
In – Getting an Early Night
Who doesn’t want 8 hours of sleep? This year, our evenings are going to look like cooking a nice dinner, watching our favourite movie, and hitting the hay by 10pm.
Out – Minimalism
In 2024, let’s say goodbye to bland colours like grey and beige and reintroduce colour into our lives.
This includes adding bright, bold colours to our wardrobe and homes. Kim Kardashian’s minimalist home décor is no longer the rage.
In – Dinner parties
Have a birthday coming up? Why not celebrate by hosting a dinner party for all your loved ones. To avoid one person doing all the cooking, ask each guest to bring a dish – bon appétit!
Out – Impulsive Shopping
Let’s make 2024 the year of outfit repeating and charity shops. With landfills overflowing, this Out is one we hope everyone will follow.
To help, try making a list before going shopping so you don’t end up buying things that you don’t need.
In – Ballet Flats
Ballet flats started to become popular again in 2023 and we are happy to keep them for the New Year, we think?! These shoes come in so many different colours, textures, and fabrics and make us feel extra girly.
Out – People Pleasing
We know it’s hard but sometimes you need to put yourself first and set boundaries with others.
Start saying no when you want to, stop apologising when you don’t need to and prioritise your own happiness. Not everybody is going to like you and that’s okay!
In – Transparent Glasses
A pair of sunglasses can really pull an outfit together but when it’s not sunny outside most of us won’t bother wearing a pair.
This is why transparent glasses are on our In list for 2024. Lensed glasses can add a pop of colour to your outfit, and you don’t need to have poor eyesight to wear a pair.
Out – Hangovers
Dry January, anyone?
Benefits of sobriety include better sleep, clearer skin, more energy, and of course, no hangovers – things we all want, so why not try cutting your alcohol consumption this year?
Some more popular Ins for 2024 include mixed metal jewellery, gardening, journaling, and leg warmers, while Outs include Y2K clothing, single use plastic, and bows.
Whatever is on your Ins and Outs list for 2024, stay true to what you want and prioritise yourself… and let us know what you’ll be leaving in 2023 this year.
