All The Best Behind-The-Scenes Instagrams From The Grammys And The BAFTAs
When two of the biggest awards shows collide, we get double the stars.
We’re really getting into the swing of awards season now, with the BAFTAs and the Grammys on last night.
As usual, we’re extremely interested in what happened behind the scenes, so let’s have a look, shall we?
It was a big night for female artists at the Grammys last night – Kacey Musgraves won Album of the Year for the fabulous Golden Hour, which surprised only the people who haven’t listened to Golden Hour (seriously, it’s a perfect album).
Lady Gaga won for Shallow and Joanne, Ariana won Best Pop Vocal Album, Cardi won Best Rap Album, and Dua Lipa won Best New Artist. All the gals!
Firstly, here’s the squad we never knew we needed

For me, a big part of friendship is showing up for your girls—whether that’s for a birthday, a quick catch-up after work, or a major milestone. So I was thrilled to be there for the one and only @aliciakeys at the #GRAMMYs. She is one of the most genuine, caring, and thoughtful people I know—there’s no one better to help us all celebrate the unifying power of music!
Jada Pinkett-Smith, Michelle Obama, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez, and Lady Gaga. The supergroup of our dreams.
Ariana Grande did a photoshoot at home with the dress she had made for the ceremony
She ended up not attending after falling out with the producers, but that didn’t stop her putting on her Zac Posen gown in honour of winning her first Grammy.
Jameela Jamil went from the ceremony to Chrissy Teigen’s house
Jameela was at the Grammys supporting her boyfriend James Blake, but seemingly scarpered early to watch the rest of the show with Chrissy Teigen, Jesse Tyler Ferguson from Modern Family, and comedian Neal Brennan. What a crowd!
Cardi B celebrated her win backstage
Cardi became the first female solo artist to win Best Rap Album, so no wonder she was happy. We’re delighted for her (but less delighted that Offset is skulking around her again).
Mark Ronson shared a video of himself and Lady Gaga living for Janelle Monae’s performance
Please check it out on his story, she’s fully losing the plot. Also, he calls her ‘mama’ :’)
Dua Lipa won her first Grammy before the actual ceremony began, and just about died
This is ADORABLE.
Katy Perry acknowledged the, eh…. quirky design of her dress
Balmain paint rollers are all the rage these days!
Miley Cyrus and Shawn Mendes performed an extremely sleeveless tribute to Dolly Parton
They sang Islands In The Stream together!
And Queen Dolly herself was resplendent in red
The Favourite pretty much owned the BAFTAs, scooping seven awards including Best Actress for Olivia Colman.
Elsewhere, Rami Malek won Best Actor for playing Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody, and Netflix’s Roma picked up Best Film.
Taylor Swift gave The Favourite a shout out
She skipped the Grammys to support boyfriend Joe Alwyn at the BAFTAs, and was like woo The Favourite won seven awards without saying why exactly that means so much to her. JUST SAY YOU’RE HAPPY FOR YOUR BOYFRIEND TAYLOR.
Rami Malek, Olivia Colman and Spike Lee cuddled with their awards
How cute is this.
Rami also cuddled Bradley Cooper
Lots of cuddling last night.
And Margot Robbie
Who DIDN’T he cuddle, is the real question here.
Rachel Weisz looked extremely excited for Olivia Colman
She is one of her ‘bitches’ after all.
Richard E Grant and Melissa McCarthy did their ‘sad loser’ faces
Don’t be sad Richard and Melissa! We love you!
Wills and Kate showed up and chatted to the nominees
