Angela Scanlon Is Set To Host A New Saturday Night Chat Show On RTE
On Angela Scanlon's Ask Me Anything, guests agree to be asked, well, absolutely anything.
RTE are shaking up their Saturday night entertainment roster with the addition of a new chat show hosted by Angela Scanlon.
Angela Scanlon’s Ask Me Anything will air on Saturdays at 9.40pm, featuring “surprises and unexpected revelations” as guests agree to be asked – as you might have guessed from the name – absolutely anything.
Announcing the exciting news on Instagram, Angela admitted she was surprised she’d managed to keep it a secret for this long.
“I have just signed to be the new host of RTE Saturday nights with my very own show,” she wrote. “It’s something I’ve wanted to do for AGES and I can’t quite believe it’s happening.”
We’ve been working away for the past couple of months trying to create a show that I wish already existed (although probably lucky it doesn’t!)… I can’t promise Oprah but I’m trying to have a house kitten on set (ginger obviously), I’ll keep you posted on that.
Angela began her broadcasting career on RTE as a stylist on Off The Rails before hopping across the pond to the UK, where she’s hosted BBC’s The One Show and Robot Wars, amongst many other programmes.
RTE promises that her new show will be a “spontaneous and unpredictable programme where everything is on the table and nothing is off limits”, which sounds right up our street. Congrats, Ange!
