Angelina Jolie was once the face of Hollywood.

The famous actress starred in dozens of films and frequently donned the red carpet, especially alongside ex hubby Brad Pitt.

Recently though, Angelina’s stepped out of the limelight, preferring to live a quieter life with her six children.

Opening up to the Wall Street Journal this week, Angelina revealed that she wants to leave Los Angeles altogether.

In fact, she would have moved already, if it weren’t for the messy, ongoing divorce proceedings between her and Brad.

“It’s part of what happened after my divorce, I lost the ability to live and travel as freely,” she confessed.

“I will move when I can.”

Angelina continued to spill that she hadn’t been too keen on the Hollywood lifestyle anyway, sharing that it never really “impressed” her.

“I never bought into it as significant or important.”

Speaking on how her life has become increasingly exposed to the media throughout the years, Angelina told WSJ that she maybe wouldn’t have chosen this journey had she known.

“When I was starting out, it wasn’t as much of an expectation to be as public, to share so much.”

Angelina also touched on how difficult her separation from Brad has been, and how painful it was for their family.

The famous couple share Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, Zahara, 18, Shiloh, 17, and twins KnoxĀ and Vivienne, who are 15.

“We had to heal,” Angelina admitted. “There are things we needed to heal from.”

This contributes to why the Girl Interrupted star is stepping back and choosing a more peaceful existence with her kids.

Where have they set their sights on?

Cambodia! Angelina wants to spend more time at their home there, to try and embrace more “authenticity” into their lives.

“They are the closest people to me and my life, and they’re my close friends,” she says of her children.

“We’re seven very different people, which is our strength”.

What a woman.
